Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in the "Venice of the East" (Srinagar)
Touch down in the breathtaking Kashmir Valley! You will be warmly greeted by our representative at the Srinagar airport and escorted to your premium hotel or traditional deluxe houseboat on the serene Dal Lake. Here, a special romantic couple's welcome awaits you to kick off your honeymoon.
In the afternoon, step back in time as you wander through the resplendent Mughal Gardens. Stroll along the terraced lawns of Nishat Bagh (The Garden of Gladness), built by Asaf Khan in 1632 AD, and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), commissioned by Emperor Jehangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan. These lush gardens kiss the banks of Dal Lake, framed dramatically by the majestic Zabarwan hills.
As the sun begins to set, embark on a magical Shikara ride across the mirror-like waters of Dal Lake. Glide past intricate floating vegetable gardens and lotus beds, while spotting native bird species like the Little Bittern and Kingfisher. Conclude the day with a cozy dinner under the stars. Overnight in your hotel or houseboat.
Day 2: The Meadow of Flowers (Gulmarg Excursion)
After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic 2-hour drive (60 kms) ascending to the heavenly altitudes of Gulmarg, situated at 2,730 meters above sea level.
Gulmarg translates literally to "Meadow of Flowers," but it is most famous globally for boasting some of the best ski slopes in Asia and the highest 18-hole golf course in the world. As you explore the alpine valleys, look out for the towering snow-capped peak of Nanga Parbat (the "Naked Mountain" over 26,000 feet), which dominates the skyline on clear days.
For an unforgettable thrill, you have the option to take the world-famous Gulmarg Gondola (cable car) soaring high above the pine-clad mountains towards Khilanmarg (Note: Gondola tickets are not included in base fare). After a day of mountain adventure and romance in the snow, drive back to Srinagar for a warm dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: The Valley of Shepherds (Pahalgam Exploration)
Enjoy breakfast before setting off on a picturesque 3-hour drive (96 kms) into the breathtaking Pahalgam valley. The journey itself is a treat for the senses.
En-route, you will drive through the sprawling, purple-hued saffron fields of Pampore, and stop by the fascinating Awantipura Ruins"”an 1100-year-old temple complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built by the legendary King Awantivarman. The road then weaves through dense, fragrant pine forests, revealing stunning countryside panoramas.
Upon reaching Pahalgam, you are greeted by the roaring, crystal-clear waters of the Lidder stream cutting through lush green valleys. Take a romantic pony ride along the mountain trails, breathe in the crisp alpine air, and marvel at the magnificent Himalayan backdrop. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Farewell to Paradise
Wake up to your final Kashmir morning. After a delicious breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Srinagar airport for your onward flight.
Return home with a camera full of stunning photos and a heart full of beautiful, lifelong memories from the crown jewel of India.
